Religious and spiritual communities are now celebrating the “Time for Living the Change” (7th October through 2nd December 2018) with local sustainability events around the world.
This global celebration started just before the release of the Special Report of the United Nations Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), entitled "Global Warming of 1.5ºC". This is no coincidence. The IPCC Special Report provided the world with important information about the current status of climate change, as well as what the future might hold if our governments, businesses, and communities do not start implementing real climate solutions.
The "Time for Living the Change" is part of our community's response to this urgent call for climate action. By lifting up people of faith who are making personal commitments towards low-carbon lifestyles, we are inspiring others to join us in becoming a part of the solution to climate change. By celebrating with our fellow community members, and connecting these local celebrations with others around the world, we are making real improvements both locally and globally. By practicing our faith-based values on an individual level, we are living the change!
We want to:
And, most importantly, let us celebrate together!
Please join GreenFaith and our global and national faith partners as we celebrate this milestone for our shared journey in Living the Change.
