Join us for an empowering conversation to learn how you and your community can take action personally for Earth.
During the Time for Living the Change, we will come together in locally-organized activities to work on transforming our own lives as one impactful response to the climate emergency.
Find your local event on the World Map and register to attend. You’ll meet others who are willing or striving to change their own behaviors, learn how your friends and neighbors are seeking to make changes in their own lives, and have the opportunity to engage in a truly interesting and empowering conversation.
These types of meaningful, engaging community conversations are key to shifting our lifestyles. Our lifestyles shape our social and cultural norms, which, in turn, shape our economic and political systems. This is the transformative nature of making a personal change!
During the second annual Time for Living the Change (September through December 2019), people around the world will come together in locally-organized religious, spiritual, and multi-faith gatherings to work on transforming their own lives as one response to the climate emergency. We are #LivingtheChange, and we invite you to join us.
This is the season for renewing and reinforcing our personal responses to the climate emergency, as well as making new changes that reflect our deepest values. We know that when we share an experience with others, we become more committed, learn from each other, and develop the ability to become ambassadors for the changes we’ve adopted, thus widening the impact of our own individual lives. This link between personal and community transformation is at the heart of Living the Change.
Last year, Christian, Muslim, Hindu, Buddhist, Jewish, and many other spiritual and religious groups organized more than 100 events in 25 countries. Now, even more people around the world are preparing to host local suppers and community dialogues through the end of 2019.
Breaking bread together is one of the oldest practices that we all share across communities and cultures, and offers the perfect setting for some of the most important conversations of our lives.
Living the Change Suppers are delicious plant-based meals that bring people together to discuss their feelings about climate change, share relevant religious and spiritual teachings, and talk about the lifestyle changes we can make as an important part of the response to this global emergency.
